
I give you the Grim Reaper, dressed like a catacomb saint. In the late 1500s, skeletons were dug out of the catacombs of Rome, hailed as martyrs and sent to churches across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where nuns covered their bones in gold, jewels and embroidered robes. Our Reaper wears the same finery, and he still carries his scythe. I hope you like him.
